1st Place “Empowering the Underserved”, University of Michigan School of Public Health Innovation in Action Competition
From October 2013 to March 2014 LiquidGoldConcept participated in the Innovation in Action competition hosted by the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. During the competition our team was tasked with developing an innovative solution to solve a public health and education problem. As we moved through the five-month competition we participated in various workshops that helped us develop our idea, learn more about the market, conduct customer discovery, and ultimately taught us how to pitch our idea – a breast pump that uses both massage and suction. The competition culminated with us pitching our idea to the public and a team of judges at the School of Public Health. We were honored to receive First Place in the Empowering the Underserved Category.
